At GDPA, we have been advocating for the past 4 years and enforcing on what it takes in achieving a high level of compliance. It has not got to do with hackers, instead it has to do with complacency within each and every commercial company big or small.
Finally the Information Commissioners Office in the UK has released a statement which re-enforces what we at GDPA have been saying all along and to which our platform and service is built around.
“The biggest cyber risk businesses face is not from hackers outside of their company, but from complacency within their company. If your business doesn’t regularly monitor for suspicious activity in its systems and fails to act on warnings, or doesn’t update software and fails to provide training to staff, you can expect a similar fine from my office.”
